We can install memorials in hundreds of cemeteries and crematoriums around the UK.

Coverage

We can install memorials in ALL areas of England and Wales.

If the delivery address is outside of a 100 mile radius of Dunstable and the basic memorial price is under £1500, a charge of £180 will be added.

 

Export

We will gladly crate-up and export memorials if your burial site is abroad. You will need to make the shipping arrangements yourself but we are happy to liaise with an agent about timings and prepare your memorial for collection.

There is a cost associated with this which depends on the shape and size of your memorial, so contact us for a quote once you have decided what you would like to order.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can a memorial be erected on a grave?

The ground requires time to settle after a burial so it is important to wait before installing your memorial. A headstone can usually be erected on a grave six months after the last burial has taken place but a period of 1 year is most common.  If cremated remains are interred in a grave, a headstone may be fixed after 3-6 months, as the ground requires less settling time but this can vary. If you tell us which cemetery/crematorium your memorial will be installed in, we can find out the specific rules for you and advise accordingly.

What happens to funeral flowers after a funeral?

After the funeral, family and friends will normally take the flowers home or return to collect them the next day. The flowers will usually last for a couple of weeks after the funeral, comforting those who are mourning.

What colours are available?

You can order our designs in many different materials, the most popular being Black or Grey Granite. Some Cemeteries and Graveyards have restrictions on which materials can be used, this is something we would clarify before you place an order. I thought i had already written a review but I obviously forgot. I am so so happy with my parents headstone that, even now, 18 months later, I still can't believe how lovely it is and how well made it is. We wanted to do our parents proud after my mum passed - and I believe we did.
Memorials of distinction are a wonderful company. From start to finish it was a seamless, easy, pleasant transaction. We were kept in the loop at all times regarding delivery, wording and design and installation. On the day it was installed i rushed down to have a look and just burst into tears. It really is a fantastic headstone that was so well made.
I would HIGHLY recommend this company. I was a bit nervous because we did everything on the phone and online but I wasnt disappointed at all.

Could not be happier with the finished product of my mother memorial. Quality of polished granite, precision work in executing the detail of design -all perfect. Memorials of Distinction always patient and willing to accommodate a grieving families often disparate views on design. Took on liaison with the designated Cemetry for installation to relieve any further burden; gave us a timeline for sourcing the granite, production and fitting and met that timeline. And a good price for all inclusive. Memorials of Distinction have a satellite North London office where samples can be viewed and instruction agreed. A very very happy experience when it really mattered.

I can only echo the many other reviews... Memorials of Distinction are a pleasure to deal with.. nothing was too much trouble, they listen & they take real care.
