Memorials of Distinction are full members of this association and we therefore follow strict guidelines as to how memorials are fixed (put in place in a cemetery). All our memorials (at cemeteries that require it) are fixed using a ground anchor system which is a stainless steel tube designed to add additional strength and stability to headstones in addition to the normal fixing systems used. The people we employ to fix the headstones also have to be tested and accredited by BRAMM to ensure their skills are kept to a high standard.
30 Year Guarantee
All our memorials come with a 30 year stonework guarantee. This means that we guarantee all memorials made by us are of good workmanship and sound material. It is also guaranteed, subject to the conditions below, that should any memorial supplied prove to be faulty in workmanship or material within 30 years of the memorial being fixed in the cemetery or churchyard, the memorial will be made good or, if it is not possible, replaced without any expense to the purchaser.
Conditions:
- As natural materials vary from time to time in colour and texture, the guarantee relates only to the type and soundness of the materials and not to the colour or texture.
- The guarantee shall not apply in relation to changes in the level of the memorial caused by land, soil or any other similar movements beyond the control of Memorials of Distinction.
- The 30 years guarantee shall not apply to any painting, gilding, leading or other embellishments to the memorial.
- The guarantee will be invalid in the event of damage being caused by Third Party interference. It will also be invalid should the memorial be moved, disturbed or otherwise worked upon by anyone other than Memorials of Distinction. Correctly monitored independent topple testing, using forces up to 35kg once every three years is not included in this clause.
- Cements, resins and other fixing agents are guaranteed for a period of 10 years, with the exception of superficial grouting. A longer guarantee is not possible as the manufacturers of these bonding materials cannot or will not guarantee their products for a longer period
- The guarantee only applies where an order clearly stating the type of material, the finish, the dimensions of the memorial and the full text of the inscription has been signed by the purchaser and received by Memorials of Distinction.
- This guarantee is only effective once all outstanding monies have been received by Memorials of Distinction.

5 stars does not do Memorials of Distinction justice. Right from the moment of enquiring for a brochure through to the memorial being fixed into place, their dedicated team could not be more helpful. There is no pressure from any of the sales team. Everything is taken at your own pace when you are ready. Nothing is too much trouble making you feel at ease asking anything regarding the memorial. Their craftsmanship is second to none and they have handled everything for us causing as little distress as possible with such a sensitive matter. I cannot recommend Memorials of Distinction enough.
