Northamptonshire, which is often referred to as the ‘rose of the shires’, contains a range of lovely locations for a final resting place. There are plenty of green spaces and woodland walks, which help to create a peaceful, reflective space. Northamptonshire is home to many picturesque villages, which make a perfect place to walk after visiting the cemetery or crematorium.
The county, nestled in the Midlands, offers plenty of public transport routes into London, along with access to motorways. This makes it an easy location for family and friends to visit.
It is important to choose a final resting place before selecting your memorial tribute. This is because many cemeteries often have regulations over which types of bespoke memorials, grave ornaments and traditional headstones are permitted.
Across Northamptonshire, there is a wide choice of both crematoriums and cemeteries, so choosing the right final resting place for a loved one can be a challenging task. To help support you through this decision, we have created an interactive map, which provides contact details for surrounding crematoriums and cemeteries. Simply hover over a pin to view the information.
Standard overall height for most memorials are 2ft 6″ or 3ft but we can customise our designs to whatever size or material you need, subject to availability and approval by the cemetery.
This very much depends on the size and material of your chosen headstone. We have memorial stones to suit every budget. If you take a look at our Value Memorials range you will see that they start as low as £865 and go up to many thousands for large custom memorials with lots of extras. If you are keen to keep costs low, it is best to choose a simplistic memorial design, such as the VR1 and base the length of your inscription on the free letter allowance offered with the specific memorial design chosen. For a more personalised memorial there are optional extras like photo plaques, statues and other decorative items.
You can put edging around a grave, but it’s important to check with the cemetery first, as each cemetery may have specific rules and regulations regarding grave decoration. Some cemeteries may allow edging, while others may have restrictions on materials, height, or style to ensure safety and maintain a uniform appearance throughout the grounds.
