Safety & Guarantee

All our memorials come with a 30 year stonework guarantee. This means that we guarantee all memorials made by us are of good workmanship and sound material. It is also guaranteed, subject to the conditions below, that should any memorial supplied prove to be faulty in workmanship or material within 30 years of the memorial being fixed in the cemetery or churchyard, the memorial will be made good or, if it is not possible, replaced without any expense to the purchaser.

 Conditions:

1.  As natural materials vary from time to time in colour and texture, the guarantee relates only to the type and soundness of the materials and not to the colour or texture.
2. The guarantee shall not apply in relation to changes in the level of the memorial caused by land, soil or any other similar movements beyond the control of Memorials of Distinction.
3. The 30 years guarantee shall not apply to any painting, gilding, leading or other embellishments to the memorial.
4. The guarantee will be invalid in the event of damage being caused by Third Party interference. It will also be invalid should the memorial be moved, disturbed or otherwise worked upon by anyone other than Memorials of Distinction. Correctly monitored independent topple testing, using forces up to 35kg once every three years is not included in this clause.
5. Cements, resins and other fixing agents are guaranteed for a period of 10 years, with the exception of superficial grouting. A longer guarantee is not possible as the manufacturers of these bonding materials cannot or will not guarantee their products for a longer period
6. The guarantee only applies where an order clearly stating the type of material, the finish, the dimensions of the memorial and the full text of the inscription has been signed by the purchaser and received by Memorials of Distinction.
7. This guarantee is only effective once all outstanding monies have been received by Memorials of Distinction.
