How many words are included?
We quote for inscriptions by character/letter rather than words. All our memorials with a cut/painted inscription include 80 letters for free and all our memorials with a cut /gilded with gold leaf inscription include 60 letters for free. How many words this translates to will depend on your individual inscription text. Each character beyond the number included with the memorial will cost £1.95 if painted or £2.80 if gilded with gold leaf on Granite, Marble, Portland Stone or Nabresina. Whilst many inscriptions are cut & gilded with gold leaf, having the inscription painted black/silver/white/gold remains an option. If you require lead lettering please contact us for a quote. Additional inscriptions being added to existing memorials will cost more and are priced on an individual basis.
Can I have blue or pink writing?
A pale blue or pink paint is often used for children’s memorials and works very well. We can accommodate most colour requests for lettering and sandblasted designs. Our experienced staff can advise on the longevity and suitability of your chosen colour when we put together your quotation.
What happens to funeral flowers after a funeral?
After the funeral, family and friends will normally take the flowers home or return to collect them the next day. The flowers will usually last for a couple of weeks after the funeral, comforting those who are mourning.
